Centennial Book Sales Benefit the Friends

Copies of the award-winning book Chula Vista Centennial are still available – at a new price and with all proceeds supporting the Friends and its projects on behalf of the library and the Chula Vista Heritage Museum. The book, now priced at just $25, is available at the Civic Center library bookstore. Store hours are 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Local historian Dr. Steven Schoenherr spent more than two years writing and researching the book, which includes maps, photographs and text documenting Chula Vista's 100-year history. The book has won local and national honors, including recognition from the San Diego Book Award Association and the Independent Book Publishers Association.
New Friends who join at the $25 Sponsor level and current Friends who renew at the $100 Benefactor level may receive a free copy of the book!
