Become a Friends Volunteer
Volunteers for the Friends of the Chula Vista Library operate used bookstores at the Civic Center and South Chula Vista branch libraries, where donated books, videos and other items are sold to support library services. Friends volunteers also staff the Chula Vista Heritage Museum, serve on the Friends Board of Directors work book sales, coordinate fund-raising and educational activities.
Library volunteers are also needed to assist staff at the branch libraries. Tasks may include shelving returned books, providing clerical support, assisting clients using the computers and reading to children during story times.
