Support the FriendsYour gift will allow the Friends to underwrite a variety of programs and services at the branch libraries and the Chula Vista Heritage Museum. Grants from the Friends support the summer reading program for children and adults and special activities at the Civic Center, Otay Ranch and South Chula Vista branches.
Support the Book Fund: The City of Chula Vista is ranked near the bottom in the state of California in per capita funding for library books. The Friends organization is committed to raising money to purchase books and materials for each of the branch libraries. Your gift to the Book Fund will help us meet that obligation. Support the Heritage Museum: Due to the loss of city funding, the Friends organization since January 2011 has assumed responsibility for operating costs of the Chula Vista Heritage Museum. Your gift will ensure that local residents, school children and visitors continue to have the opportunity to see and appreciate Chula Vista's unique history.
