Centennial Exhibit at the Heritage Museum
In honor of the Chula Vista centennial, the Chula Vista Heritage Museum has opened an exhibit of photographs documenting the city's history.
On display are photographs showing the city's founding as a community of "gentleman farmers" in the 1880s, its incorporation in 1911, the arrival of Rohr during World War II and its rapid growth during the second half of the 20th century.
Located at 360 Third Avenue, adjacent to Memorial Park, the Museum is funded and operated by the Friends of the Chula Vista Library. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
